Today Kevin shows you the Microsoft Tag beta on the iPhone. It works on other phones as well: Windows Mobile, J2ME, S60, and BlackBerry. You simply point your phone's camera at a tag and it decodes the information which could be a URL, contact info, text or more.

Also, these things encode more data the the traditional QR codes. And they're color, and microsoft says that that makes them more attractive to the consumer. which, it kinda does.

The new update for the iPhone is great, it doesn't make you take a picture, it just redirects you as soon as it is on the screen.
