I barely got the camera ready in time to catch this all SD40-2 & SD40 consist leading a combo of trains 169 and 119 by the Amtrak Station in Spartanburg, SC. Six SD40-2 units of both Southern and N&W heritage were on the head end, with an R/C boxcar in the consist as well. I didn't see these two trains combined a lot back then.

@Retrainmytrain Glad you liked it! That was one of the old Southern R/C boxcars for receiving radio signals for mid-train helper units.

Definitely a great catch. Sure not likely to see great all EMD lachups like this anymore. I miss seeing lachups like this on trains now!
