My first encounter with the second largest species of shark in the world. A rare glassy calm midsummer day off the North cornish coast gave us the perfect conditions for veiwing these incredible and elusive creatures. I hope you like it! Music by Scott Matthews

Just hope these creatures don't end up being hounded and harrassed like the whale sharks that are now mobile tourist attractions in too many parts of he world..

I was sailing about 7 1/2 miles out of dublin bay towards the south and I encountered these lovely creatures, I was only 10 and shamely admit being terrified, if I could go back I'd love to swim with them!

would love to swim with them,i keep a camera on our boat in case we come across any as they have been seen near our local pier every now and then.Amazing creatures ,you are very lucky.Thanks for posting.
