  • Also just one note. These are wild carp living in a rugged river. They are very tough and resilient. The are not big fat hogs that are farm fed on quiet little ponds and lakes. Here in this portion of the river a person could fill up 5 gallon pails many times on the leads and other gear you would find on the bottom due to all the obstructions. I do apologize to all the carpers we may have offended.

  • carp can take it

  • First fish: Wet the mat before putting the fish on it. Do not stand up with a fish, do not walk with a fish up high. release the fish gently.

Second fish: Don't pull the main line when the fish is in the net. Don't lay the fish on the ground in the net. Walking around with a fish at waist height is a no no. Dropping the fish in the margins wehn you release it.

Yup, you're fish handling skills aren't that clever at all.

  • @carperjake Thank you for the comments. I was just laughing about the rookie days. There are many, many many, carp in this river and a perfect place for on the bank learning. For you "experts" I understand your concerns and we have addressed them as best may be.

  • @gep1976 Sorry but i disagree, having the ability to catch fish is one thing but it's nothing without having a little respect for the fish. Hopefully my criticism was constructive and they will take something away from it to ensure better fish handling skills in the future.

  • @carperjake what a fucking joke.. fucking red necks aint got no respect for fuck all..

  • carper jake dont be so critical does everyone have to hate on someone else for doing what they love let them have their day to shine i thought it was a good video

  • I fished that spot not too long ago, it was ok, check out "River Carp Fishing"

  • I noticed you have the CAG tag on your vids..funny since I would think that fishermen trying to represent a group supposedly dedicated to carp angling, you would have much better fish care skills.

  • Great video thank for posting keep fishing
