An "M" flavor local forecast from Hampton Roads, VA on August 31, 1993. Hurricane Emily can be seen on the radar loop at the end. Also, the "Incomplete Data" pink box can be seen for one radar frame. It looks like radar data from Cape Hatteras became unavailable. That's why the hurricane loses definition and looks ragged beyond the first two or so frames.

  • Thanks so much for posting this! Until I saw this, I never thought I'd see one from my area from that time period again!

And what is the name of the song in this one?

  • "Downhill Racer" by Patrick O'Hearn

  • Why can I hear Dan Chandler's narration muffled, "The forecast for cities nationwide" at 1:10 to 1:13?

  • The audio for the WeatherStar III bleeds through during quiet parts of the song.

  • Wow, I've never actually seen the incomplete data appear on the radar like that. Thanks for uploading!

  • This was one of those songs you could always hear the 3000 bleed through on. Several songs from the April 93 playlist were like that. Love your vids hookecho80!!!!

  • I remember this one...I was 13 and very near Labor Day weekend...was very glad that this one missed us.

  • "Incomplete Data" on the southeast corner of the radar.

  • Holy crap!! Thank you so much for posting this!! Its my old 4000!
