I was at the unveiling of the new Sony eReader (PRS-350) today at NYC and came upon another one from a group of people called the jetBook MINI.
Check out the dimension pictures of the angles here:

Both eReaders looked amazing and the video shows how the screen changes from page to page.
Both are extremely light, portable and have great functionality.
The Sony will use an eInk and the jetBook MINI will continue with its success on the TFT screen. Both are fast but the jetBook MINI does take the cake in page turn quickness.
The Sony does have a touch screen now too which is great (and i am much a fan of) but it does have the problem of getting dirty after the fifth swipe. You can also use the keys at the bottom to page turn and zoom in on the font but they are rather small, so the focus is primarily all touch screen (which does UNFORTUNATELY lag at times).
The jetBook MINI (although i didnt get to play around with it much since the group said its release will be soon) felt very comfortable in my hand and runs on 4 AAA batteries instead of a built-in LiOn. The exterior is super sleek and they said it will be featured in many different color combinations. It's also very light and a bit smaller than the Sony. (check the pics in the link above for more angles)
All in all, both eReader look great and i cant wait to see them on shelves and more about the jetBook MINI.
The Sony is the next gen version of their current PRS series and the jetBook MINI is the third installment after the jetBook and jetBook LITE.
Hmm. Great turn speed on the Sony - fast enough that the blackening of the screen is nowhere near as irritating as it is on other eInk readers... Pity it's $200, though.

@fafaforza I understand what you're saying, but turning book pages has never been that labor intensive for me. I never lick my finger, nearly always turn one page at a time, and do most of my reading indoors. I also read a good deal of nonfiction with references, endnotes, and so on, and while I find that process annoying, it's unavoidable.

@fafaforza I don't agree that it's a fraction of the time of a real page turn. Plus, it's a different reading experience when you turn a physical page and stare at a screen when it adjusts and flashes. I can't tolerate the latter, but turning a physical page is not annoying to me.

@fafaforza I hate to see e-ink flashing at my eyes. I now have both and like TFT on jetbook mini better. In fact, there is no difference in viewing angle and no flash.

The Sony looks nice. I'll have to check it out. But your comparison between the two screen types is not a fair one. The Jetbook LCD screen is much more sensitive to the viewing angle. In this video the both devices are viewed from the bottom looking up which gives the Sony the advantage. Therefore, people may get the wrong impression that the Jetbook screen is darker than that of the Sony when viewed straight on which it is not.

love the conversation in the background between the women... 'Nooooo! That's Target?? You look GOOD!', 'Thank you'... :D

@Mugasado I found the jetbook mini will support txt and fb2 formats. Nearly all the e-books I read on my smartphone are in this format. There are plenty of free ebooks in such format online :)

@Darskiy I bought the prs 650 yesterday (6" version) and there is almost NO delay when turning pages. By the time you take your eyes off the bottom of the page and up to the top of the next selected page, it is there to be read :)

@ALLCOLOURSOFLIFE

I don't like delay and black blinking on Sony while turning the pages. It looks much nicer and faster on the jetBook.
