I am part of the Legion of Mary, and we refer to the Virgin Mary was Lucifer occasionally because she is the bringer of christ's light.

In older, more traditional Catholic texts and prayers, the word Lucifer is used for Christ or God, and not for Satan.

That being said, I am not a run of the mill Catholic... so yeah.

I prove people can hear what they want in a song. Despite lyrics all I hear is sex in the melody and rythm (so intense!), and hear only the "rising higer" part :).But I have a similar feeling with a couple other of their songs. Probably says more about me than them though. Some songs give me the urge to dance, but I feel the only adequate type of "dance" here is done with a partner and it isn't waltz. Wish it lasted longer.

@scarletsdad1 Same in the christian tradition, "christ" comes from the Greek "christos?" meaning "savior", to shun a "lucifer" is to shun light and knowledge.... No wonder they called the reign of the catholic church the "dark ages", perverting a light bearing god into something evil and shunned....

and by christianity's own definition, Jesus can too be considered a lucifer, I wonder how many christians have ever considered that one...
