Cornrows at the work place

Leave me comments or email me frggy202sml@yahoo.com this is the second time that I have not been able to wear corn rows to work although they allow my friends who are black to wear them. I think this is dumb they tell me that it's not my ethnicity and I am not allowed to style me hair like that. I want your input and your personal experience on this matter. Thank you

OK everyone since this video, I have found out that not only are the managers at this restaurant complete morons, but they also dont know the first thing about managing a business. So I quit a found a new job that encourages individuality and creativity and actually enjoy going to work now!! Thank you for all your posts good or bad.

thats freaking gay i work at burgerking and i am latino and i hade cornrows i got sent home until i took my braids out them i could go back to work. and i wasent going to take them out cuse they cost me money and i ened up quiting that job

I am a guy of Indian origin in Melbourne, Australia. Since the day I got cornrows I have been getting mixed reactions from people I some people said I am looking good with braids, some took it to be some gang sign & most of Aussies labeled me like a "wannabe black" ! I don't say they are wrong or right but all I want to know is that how can they judge a person by his hairstyle ?!!

Einstein once said that, human stupidity is limitless, I just changed my hairdo & practically experienced it.

Girl, I don't know what their problem is... Probably just worried about their "Appearance" or some other narrow minded shyt. They honestly have no good reason. On the other hand.. I think you look Gorgeous with dreads. Me and you both have that "exotic" look going on so we just look good with them, and I don't see how someone could actually disagree.

Braids are not a hairstyle for thugs. If that's the case the founding fathers should all have cornrows because the were the most gangster.. whites should not degrade themselves by getting cornrows.They are better suited to black thugs.Whites need to stop letting the media and educational system convince them that their culture is bad and that they should distance themselves from it and adopt the ghastly ways of the negro.Whites should be proud of their heritage and not let the jewish media convince them otherwise.I hate to say it,but its usually white trash who get cornrows,dreadlocks,or who try to act or dress black

@frggy202sml well done hun! I assume that you know that working in a place for food reqires high hygene of every person working in the kitchen or having access to it. For me dreadlocks and cornrows is the best way to keep your hair from falling, and I don't know why is everyone treating them like, I don't know, maybe the worst thing ever. I used to work at a cafe and they let me have braid extentions, but I quit too because they kept asking me when am I going to take them off. :/

Heres the thing. I am black and, ive learned that dreads, cornrows and the afro styles, are considered "unprofessenal" This is because, the white people that i have encountered, look at these hair styles are dirty, not clean. I got cronrows, and when i have the afro out, or the cornrows in, people look at me funny. I dont care about them. Other black people don't stare at my, just the white people. Its not our fault that they dont know about it, at least WE know its clean
