De was 5'10". Nearly as tall as Leonard Nimoy, taller than Shatner. Many actors are short, but filming can make them look taller in a variety of ways.
I'm also curious as to the conclusion of this show---or was De the next victim? Thus the end of his involvement in the show and therefore no need for further clips?
Also, might have something to do with the way he holds his head and neck, combined with what he's wearing. He always comes off as shorter than he is to me for some reason, and I think that's why--he kind of slouches.
He played alot of dr's on a lot of westerns and then in Star Trek the original series.

5'10" isn`t tall for an actor. I think that`s the reason why he is looking so short.

He's about 5'10", I think. Maybe it's different footwear?

Who woulda thunk it that Deforrest Kelley would have played a doctor again in Star Trek?

Haha, the way Kelley yells, "Please, stop that!" is soooo great. Kelley seems really short in this. Is he, or is everyone else tall?
