this is hardly my favorite godard film, but that's just saying how great godard is, because it's still great.

Yeah, this is very interesting. I'm slow to comprehend, but would like to study Jean Luc Godard films/ideas over time. I read Dostoyevsky also, and much of that too is way over my head, but able at times to gain some comprehension. It would be nice to read greater insight here (in the comments section) in order to learn from those who might have a greater understanding of Jean-Luc Godard.

I just read Jean-Luc Godard's wikipedia page. Much of it is way over my head, but did catch the reference to American hegemony. I like reading Noam Chomsky, so this is interesting. Also, recall enjoying the American re-make of his (Godard's) film 'Breathless' as a teenager. Recently wondered, when viewing Francoise Hardy videos, if it wouldn't have been a better to have Francoise Hardy with Richard Gere.

Okay, didn't know what I was just commenting on. Just saw another clip from the film. Seems there is deeper meaning.
