I remember when this aired! I'd picked Lora to win because he had been more polished and consistent. I figured Gaby was just over the hill. Initially, it looked like I was right, and then Gaby clocked him with that single left.

Gaby Canizalez is one determined guy. Inconsistent at times. Sorta like a John Conte, undiscipline but on his night was phenomenal. Great upload.

baldylocks- Thx! Your point is right on about the inconsistency. He viciously KO'd Richie Sandavol then loses the title in his next fight. He wins this fight by spectacular KO and goes and loses it in his next fight to Dule McKenzie who I'm fairly certain Lora would have beaten.

@boxinginfo Yeah, but The Duke boxed a MILLION that night bless.. Was sparring with Colin Sweet C McMillan.. And it showed... was a wonder Canizales, who WASNT as good as his brother Orlando, had any ears left. Cos they were THOROUGHLY boxed OFF!!!!

@PhflyDan1 Agreed, but I still maintain 2 points. First Miguel Lora would have beaten McKenzie handily and second I'm fairly certain both Gaby Canizales and McKenzie will only get into the International Boxing Hall of Fame if the pay their admission in. Don't get me wrong they were both damn good boxers just like you said not on the level of Orlando.
