Leaders in education, public policy, religion, and black communities discussed the status of African-American in The State of the Black Union 2008: Reclaiming Our Democracy, Deciding Our Future" which took place in the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center Conference Auditorium in New Orleans.

In this clip, Dick Gregory talks about America's first "black" (insert sarcasm) president, Bill Clinton.

  • @KingMellow11 ... calling someone like me a "cracker" or any infamous white names? because me, I have ALWAYS rebuked ANYONE that ever used derrogatory namecalling, especially toward a race or creed of a person. We are human beings, we hurt we laugh, we cry, and we all bleed and we all die. that is how it is with me and how I see it. Look how many of you judged me, and even thought I was a man!!!!!, it is always like this and dont get me started on females vs males....lol (JK)...lol

  • @KingMellow11 ... we are all in this together...there is pain on both sides, I owe you nothing, you owe me nothing, so why can't we respect each other?...because, you will not accept that sometimes we need to look at why things happen and how do we change it. I hear more black people call each other the "N" word than i have ever heard a white person say it!!!!...and I would never disrespect or judge someone just because of the color they were born. how many times have you rebuked someone for

  • @KingMellow11 And I am truly sorry, those are not acceptable words to be used around me, and I can't stand to hear anyone call someone else a derrogatory name, no matter what the situation. I am a FEMALE, and I was raised in a very tense part of the country when it comes to the racial divide it goes both ways. it is like because we were born black or white, we can automatically never understand the other side of it, but to me we are all like colors in a box of crayons, ...

GULLAH=A MIX OF AFRICAN LANGUAGES IN ONE. S.Carolina where they wanna rip up my ancestors GRAVES..to build houses for the white folks.
