  • @fingling8 the irish bouzouki has a flat back (most of time). If the neck is shorter, it should be a mandola ( same tuning) or a cittern (two more strings), le mandocello is tuned a fifth lower.

  • I'd like to know, too. I don't think there is a sonic difference between a Greek one and an "Irish" one--anyone know? Also, it looks too short of neck to be a bouzouki, so I wonder if it's not a mandocello (check Google Images).
