Neslon, my auto mechanic also rasises chickens, one day we stop by his shop and out from theother side of the building come a band of chickens and 2 roosters. Nelson's shop is close to a busy road, and the birds walk on both sides of the fence -- my wife was worried the chickens will get run over -- not likely -- these birds are pretty muscular w/o drugs or gh.

They are lovely. Once they free range like that they will just hop the fence if you try to enclose them. My mom in law let hers run the neighborhood just 4 hens and a rooster..People always slowed down and let them cross. But one day a man did not see one and backed over one of the hens. I think I cried more than my mom in law.

Wow now that's what I call free range!, some humans don't even live with that much space!!!. Beautiful chickens!
