  • The clutch is pretty much the same on all bikes theres a cover a set of springs and possibly a nut if its a cable instead of hydraulic. The Springs .... and this is opinion, should be replaced they fade over time. I replace my clutch springs every year on my vtx I can tell a differece the next day. for most I believe that If you replace your springs every 30k or so your clutch plates will probably see 100k miles. The clutch plates need to go steel, friction, steel friction and so on.

  • Great job, thanks for the video.....any tips on correctly adjusting the clutch once installed?

  • Very informative. This did help me out alot so far. I wasn't for sure exactally how the clutch plates went. The one thing I didn't get was the clutch springs. Do I need to replace them as well when I get ready to replace the clutch plates? Guess it would make since to do that. I actually have a 1100 vstar. It looks like it would be done the same way. Or is it different?
