I can see Edwards working well with reasonable Republicans. I'm a Dem, and campaigned against my sitting Governor (Arnold Schwarzenegger) because I felt like based on his '05 actions, I couldn't trust his "post-partisanship". But he's surprised me so far this term, and if more GOP figures act like that -- returning to the Eisenhower / Rockefeller / Anderson roots -- and more Dems act like Edwards, we could have a great decade ahead of us.
