Addis Ababa, 19 October 2010. Beth Cullen shares her experience of using participatory video with pastoralists in Ethiopia. In her views, videos are a great way to record, capture and share indigenous knowledge, and make it travel in the community, across communities and to other actors and stakeholders such as NGOs and policy makers. However, even if it's a very effective knowledge sharing tool, video sharing has its challenges; in particular, there's the risk that the tool gets hijacked from the ones in power so the all process needs great attention and facilitation
