I'm hoping to get this after my L licence but I heard its not very easy to steer...I'm not fond of sport bikes and i dunno if a cruiser is a safe bet for passing P tests.

@tstut100 Yeah man! I'm actually going to look at a used 650 Vstar this Saturday, it's a 2004 with stock finish of black on top surfaces and cherry red on the sides. It looks sharp and I'm not even a fan of red finishes. I love shades of blue though.

I like the handle bars. I put the Barons Star Bars on my classic, I like them a lot.

The AIS system on the left side of the bike injects air into the exhaust to produce a cleaner emission it is known to cause popping or backfires upon deceleration. It is removable or you can make it inoperable check the CC&D site for ways to do this.

Alll i wanna know is where you got your tail lights? I've been looking for integrated lights for a while and yours are AMAZING!

i now own this nice bike but it backfires under deceleration. any reasons why this occures?

Love the bike. The only thing I'd change on this model is to move turn signals up and a little closer to the headlight. It looks like to bug eyes sticking out of an awesome ride.

@Scorpiuszeroone thanks when I first saw the bike the color combo stood out and I was in love. Thinking of duplicating it again if I ever get another cruiser!

The whitewalls are 880 Metzelers. Yes they were way grippier than the stock tires, I felt more comfortable about them especially when the road was wet.

hey bernbo: the handlebars are white bros. bikini beach bars, 36" no dimples model. No cable changes, just re-routed them out of the holder near the headlight for more clearance. I believe 36" is the widest bar to get without cable changes.

Thanks bernbo, the whitewalls were something I really wanted and after the stock tires finally wore out, my bike was ready. I think I want to put a springer seat eventually. Thanks to the 650 V-star CC&D forums for all the inspiration and technical help!
