*You're* Norman Spinrad. Wow. Glad to see you (in more than one sense) on YouTube.
I read your story in _Again, Dangerous Visions_ 20 years ago, and I still occasionally think of it. I don't remember the title without looking it up, but I do remember that it was about Harrison Wintergreen and his battle with cancer. You have a unique and special voice as a writer with which I am glad I am acquainted.

Harlan Ellison is a treasure and its a shame he is so under-appreciated. IMG this man has done more for Sci-Fi than anyone else in modern times.

So what if Harlan hates working on a computer. The point that is relevant is the treatments made by big business studios. Its a horrible situation and a sad one. Projects stay on studios books just to be a tax write off?
Sadly one of the 20th and 21st ceturies greatest writers will forever be fighting this fight. And probably so will a great many others.

By and large, Ellison's observations are valid, if somewhat strident at times. At least part of his objection to the Internet, as I understand it from interviews, is too much unsubstantiated input and not enough accountablity. You and I are free to post here, but what credibility do we have? Of course, one could as reasonably ask that question of any twerp calling themselves a journalist.

Whoever you are, I know Harlan a lot longer and a lot better than you do. And the point of mentioning that Harlan isn't computer literate is that if he was, he'd have added this addendum himself instead of asking me to do it for him.

The fact that Ellison is not computer literate is about as relavant as the fact that Poe was not a murderer or Doyle a detective.
