From Psalm 69:16-17, 29-30, 32-36

Thy lovingkindness, Lord, is good and free:
In tender mercy turn thou unto me;
Hide not thy face from me in my distress,
In mercy hear my pray'r, thy servant bless.

Needy and sorrowful, to thee I cry;
Let thy salvation set my soul on high;
Then I will sing and praise thy holy Name,
My thankful song thy mercy shall proclaim.

With joy the meek shall see my soul restored;
Your heart shall live, ye saints that seek the Lord;
He helps the needy and regards their cries,
Those in distress the Lord will not despise.

Let heav'n above his grace and glory tell
Let earth and sea and all that in them dwell;
Salvation to his people God will give,
And they that love his Name with him shall live.

  • You're right. With a bit of professional coaching, the choir would be very polished.

  • Lovely singing, lovely tune, just the tempo a tad too fast for both the tune and Psalm, imho. Could you folks slow down a little, I was almost panting trying to singing with you folks in BNE! Lol.

  • @sgpiepie We sing slower in our worship services. But when given the opportunity, the young choir sets its own tempo.

    We don't sing this in worship though, because it's not in our Psalter.

    It's a very sweet tune though.

  • @sgpiepie We sing slower in worship, although we don't sing this version, because it's not in our Psalter.

  • @sgpiepie Our pastor recommended the tempo! Because we have a number of new families now joined with us from contemporary churches, we upped the tempo to help them "climatize".

    In a congregational setting though, the pace is much more moderate.

  • great

  • Thanks for your feedback.

    I'll pass it on.

  • What we like to see ; HONESTY 1

  • It sounds like your choir is experienced and skilled enough to be able to use dynamic in your production, rather than bang out every verse in the same way without consideration of the text. Still, a nice thing to listen to . . . and watch.

  • @RAIDFIX Ah~ I see. This version is from the "Dutch" Psalter :)

  • Praise God!!

  • Beautiful! I am going to start learning that to sing at my church.
