The CrossFit Games are the ultimate test of fitness. It's a grueling multi-day competition in which the world's fittest athletes compete in a variety of workouts. What are the workouts? Each year they change, and the details of them are not announced until a couple days before the event. This means that all year long, the athletes are training for a competition whose format is almost completely a mystery. The 2011 Games season starts with the CrossFit Games Open on March 15th. • THIS LOOKS SO FUCKING AWESOME

  • @mcpoppins85 yeah but a almost all body weight exercises are WAY easier for the lighter people. and the cardiovascular component will single out the strong guys from the fit guys crossfit is about training every aspect of fitness not strength and size. but yes their are some genetic freaks who are good at everything but that is what this competition does finds that guy!

  • @cborigo16 - then maybe they should do crossfit?... this isnt bashing other athletes, its just a different sport.

  • @cborigo16 Disagree, the top level crossfit guys are awesome but the best athletes in the world remain international decathletes. They are much much faster than crossfitters (who are often truly awful runners)-10.8 100m , 4:45 1500m , just as strong (350lb powercleans, 500+ squats) and have more coordination (see the pole vault or javelin). Trey Hardee or Roman Sebrle would smoke these guys.

  • @JimbleBass Hi. I don't think anyone's ever fit enough. The fitter you are the harder you train till you're as dead on your feet as the guy who just started. :) I can't do pull ups, neither can I double under, but I'm competing in the Open. Just because :) Do it. Register.

  • the crossfit games are the special Olympics with a pretentious title

  • I take it crosfit is very popular in america? with the rest of the world making up 4 of 17 regions.. half the world lives in region 16! I wish i was fit enough to compete, must train harder!

  • @cborigo16 Im not a big parkour expert or fan, but while crossfit is crossfunctional training, Parkour is applied crossfunctions. I do alot of crossfunctional training too like muscleups & pushups, but I gotto admit climbing over walls and other real life obstacles are far more functional than doing it only on the bars and rings. Parkour & Martial Arts = applied strenght, endurance, balance, speed, flexibility, coordination, plus they are dangerous to do so its a good mental training.

  • @bubbletea8888 And parkour is hardly "functional". How often do ppl need to do backflips from a roof? Crossfit's functionality is the reason its so popular with police and special ops soldiers. And calm down about "fittest on earth" its a damn slogan, dont get so upset about semantics. My point is if anyone wants to be called "fittest on earth" by winning the crossfit games, they can try it.

  • @bubbletea8888 They are fittest in the world by the definition of fitness that includes everything from strength, endurance, balance, speed, etc etc. I.e. the most well-rounded athletes that can perform the best on all the different aspects of fitness in the end. I dont think parkour is the definition of fitness, yeah it requires agility and balance, but it is lacking in many areas.

  • @cborigo16 And that is up to you guys to decide that they are the fittest in the world? Other people would say people doing parkour, Martial artist, gymnasts or Ninja Warrior Participants are the fittest. Crossfitters always brag about how functional their workout is right, well it doesn't get more functional than stuff like Parkour, Martial arts gymnastics or the different stages in Ninja Warrior. Crossfitters are low in the list of fittest people on Eart, keep dreaming!

  • @divinetruth42 I bet the chicks arent into you as much as you are into yourself.
