He meant it compared to other like Rolex, Omega, etc. Who advertise themselves a lot, so a lot of people know about them, to a true collector Glashutte is well know. If you go out on the street with a Submariner and a Calatrava in Platinum, ask people to choose the one they'd want, most people will go with the Submariner just because it's "Rolex". It's sad really.

To the true enthusiast yes it is well known. However I am pretty sure that 95% who buy from this company are not watch enthusiasts so would have no idea what they are! They are just shrewd purchasers looking for a bargin!
