George Gray has been named the announcer for "The Price Is Right". Some game show purists preferred the "have at it" sarcasm of Gray, who had previous game show experience.

@csifan18 Yes, this version was syndicated but it did air on most if not all of the NBC owned-and-operated affiliates. I would bet that it also aired on a few ABC, CBS, FOX, UPN, and WB affiliates as well.

@REKONBALL2 Right. Let's just clarify something here.
The show originated in the UK, not in the US. The original host was Anne Robinson (the mean British lady) and when she stopped hosting the US version, this guy (George Gray) took over. The show was canceled about a year and a half later.

That host for this version is George Gray...but his sarcasm isn't funny at all...Anne Robinson, the other host for the primetime version is WAY BETTER!!! :)
