  • I do not think his music has touched bach at that speed ....

  • @ALF0NS77 Dude you are anti-musician?

  • This is just playing trough the piece, but not a real desire to hear (in my opinion which nobody can critizise)... I have an early recording from Maisky with Argerich playing this, if you belive or not, Maisky can play Bach great!

  • @Thomascello (*_*) ? .....

  • They both are great artists interpreting the piece of someone who's much more than just an artist! Our beloved Bach!

  • :) Agree 100% with you :) (^_^)

  • I love listening to Perenyi. He is such a musical player and I love his Bach sonatas.I have been reworking and memorizing these amazing pieces for the last month and listening to his playing and seeing the choices that he has made has been inspirationall.

  • @pichat1 Of course you can. I didn't want to offend anybody. I also don't like how Maisky plays the Suites nowadays, and I can't listen to his recordings of them. But in the Sonatas with Piano it is really different. He doesn't make any show at all (now he does indeed). Maybe I think so because I have only the audio, no video. I will try to upload exactly the movement played by Perenyi and Schiff.

If you still prefer Perenyi, ok. There are many things he does much better than Maisky.

    Cheers

  • @Thomascello Well, we can't critizise (critisize?) but we can still check opinions not based on much knowledge of performance practice. You can't possibly be serious comparing Maisky, especially in Bach, to Perenyi!

The latter's a genious, the former- a good showman..

  • It's horrible. They are not playing together at all!

  • @harpsinth Well, I admit that I don't like Argerich in general, but on the recording i mentioned she plays wonderful; but Maisky is superior to her.

  • @Thomascello

    Talking serious about "interpretation" ...

I really think ms.Argerich could not clean Andrá´s shoes.
