Hell no, You have to be kidding be. Women shouldn't be a slave to men. Women have rights not be with a man and if women weren't so dependent to realize that, the world would be a different place. And you idiots think this is how life should be then you really need a reality slap to the face. Men may have more control but it doesn't have to be that way. And how could you believe anything the bible says did it fall out of the sky and a deep voice come from above saying you should read it?!

@Lisa3679 although i disagree with your general outlook i agree with your comment about 2:17, she is trying to alter God's word. God is very clear in his word about the relationship between a man and his wife. she is to submit in everything. WHEN jesus was in the garden praying, he said not my will father but yours be done. soooo apparently they did not have the same will. so I'm not sure what shes talking about.

You say the wife should "guide the husband when he's going off course a little bit." In the symbolic sense, Husband = Christ, Wife = believers. Therefore, your suggestion is the same as someone suggesting that we need to guide Christ. What wicked, ridiculous blasphemy.

@luckybozo1 I have a wonderful, non-sexist husband who happens to be a supportive and strong-willed atheist man. Weak, godly men are the ones complaining about women not being submissive. You are obviously in that group of mindless, religious men who think they have the right to control women. But, you are in Luck BOZO, since there are plenty of religious women who will bow down to you. Consider yourself blessed by your non-existent god. Comments from sexist men are a waste of my time.
