No, you're obviously talking about the FAKE last chapter somebody made. Take a closer look, and you'll see that the images are taken and edited from chapter one.

Anyway, the only place Light goes is "mu" or "nothingness", as per described by the authors. Completely dead and with nothing to allude to a shinigami world.

@QuiteRiQuite you sure? it could've been an early ending the author made WAY before the real ending. I'm saying the author could've made that ending in the early stages of Death Note. Much before they added the rules "you cant kill a shinigami" and the "humans go to mu". That's just my theory

@mrmario174 That's not an outrageous thought. However, if it was true, it would have been mentioned in "Volume 13: How to Read" (that's the one with all the interviews with Obha and Obata-sensei. I recommend you buy it ^^ It's awesome). More importantly, it's usually not hard to spot plagiarism. Compare that alternate ending to chapter 1 in the manga. Images get repeated which manga artists NEVER do.

Sorry to rant. I just don't know how to say it concisely.
