@trace433 Maybe you could try Greg Boyd's church, haha

My pastor was a charismatic sociopath. Greg Boyd describes him perfectly. I haven't been able to go to church since my pastor was exposed. Maybe that's a good thing?

This guy is a good talker.
He seems to be trying to get to the heart of Jesus' message, but something is wrong...
How does one get to love? Only through Jesus?
That would mean that over half of the world can't find Love.
Only someone full of themselves or Jesus would believe this.
That is not true, so this mans message is invalid.
Love is all around you. All you have to do is show yours.
One can not separate Jesus from religion.

People who don't act our their faith affect others more than religous people who do good works.

Although I agree about religion being capable of keeping people away from a relationship with God as they can rely on it too much for their salvation, there is also a danger with what I see as the 'More Grace Lord' brigade. I've seen so many Christians in the happy clappy churches doing the talk but not doing the walk. They talk about their love of Christ but don't act like they follow Christ. This is more hypocritical and is a bad witness to the unsaved.

Yeah, spot on description. Reminds me of an old movie starring Gary Cole, where he brilliantly depicted the character Boyd called 'Bill'. Can't remember the movie name, though.

People like Rob Bell, Donald Miller, and Greg Boyd are a gift from God. They have given me a reason to hold onto my belief in God.

Thank God for Gregg Boyd...he is helping to restore my lost faith. This is scary video in many ways for me, i was raised by a narccissist .
I had a genuine earthshaking conversion in 2000, and for 3 years struggled with fundamentalist interpretations.Trying to find which was right and fell away into the new age because of the spitefulness of the religious political christianity. I just couldn't deal with it..Love to me was more important.
Thanks for putting these up!
I randomly ran across this guy when surfing for videos addressing the issues of being a Pharisee. This guy is awesome, hits points right on the head... I'm subscribing.
