so whats the deal? did those bros walk straight to ground zero--or close to it more likely--immediately after the explosion? those poor guys. anyone know if anything happened to them?

Yeah, but, one of the potential side effects is *new* cancers! How ridiculous is that?! But anyway yeah they do. :)

You all realize, I hope, that you can get cancer from ANY intensity of radiation exposure beyond that which is normally encountered in common lifestyle (80 mCi per year is average for hydrogen ions). The science behind the effect of intense radiation on the body is awesome. The disrupted atomic particles literally mutate flesh into taffy. 10 million degrees Kelvin (Average initial nuclear explosion heat) is hotter than the surface of the sun. Bet you can't take that kind of heat!
