EXAMPLES OF HOW NOT TO BUILD A DECK, INSTALL A SLIDING DOOR, INTERIOR RAILING AND A NEW SHOWER. ALL WERE DONE BY A HACK THAT CALLED HIMSELF A CONTRACTOR WHO THEN TOOK OFF WHEN THE INSPECTOR SHOWED UP AND STOPPED WORK ON THE JOB.

  • it was your local government who gave him the license or inspected the unit. Why not take this up with your local building inspector or licensing board?

  • @dbates23114 - it was done without permits- that is when we stepped in to work with the township building department (by getting permits and inspections) and help the homeowners that were fooled by a bad contractor!

  • @jason7660 why would you say that Jason? Or are you referring to the contractor that butchered this home? I see that you claim to be a contractor as well...Hmmm..Birds of a feather.....?

  • Home owners Fault 100%, i thought was just a deck that was messed up until i seen the rest of video

#1- homeowner has to see and get a few references

#2- licenses and insurance of contractor and those who are doing electrical, plumbing, hvac.

#3-Homeowner duty to obtain a Permit if a drawing is needed then the homeowner has to find a architect engineering firm or ask the contractor to refer one

when ever i see shitty work like this i know the homeowner don't want to pay the going rate

  • fucking hell! shottiest work ever seen! why even put up railing that flimsy, I bet if you walked to the other side of that deck the thing would tip over, I hope the contractor had the common decency to take the home owners on a date before fucking em this hard.

  • WTF did this guy goto the local homo depot for a furnace filter and decided to become a contractor after reading the first chapter of a diy book at the cheak out counter.

  • look at the cantilever lol. poor people payed for this

  • I am not a contractor, but , I've been in the business of home renovation for the last 18 years and I always told myself "When in doubt, ask a pro"...When I do some renovations, the boss always chew me up for over doing it. I love perfection. It could be a million dollars house or an old farm house, it has to look like that job is worth more than what the customer paid for...and the most important is if I see some structural damage or if I break something...I will tell...no cover-up needed...

  • must of got a great quote...

  • In Singapore you dont need a license!! My family had the misfortune of going to Glenn Theseira (5 Pisang Raja, Singapore 597737)construction and got a terrible job and he also cheated his 2 partners leaving us in the dark. Unfortunately we learn from his partners that he gotten sack from a previous company and shortchanged some people along the way to live a very nice lifestyle!! Too late for us. He's driving a nice german car today.

  • I love how anyone can call themselves a "contractor". First off, your not a contractor unless you posess the proper license. We all bitch at inspections and inspectors, but here is a perfect example of the need. As an electrical contractor for over 26 years, I've seen many examples of moronic practice. I blame the idiots that do it, but also the home owners that try to beat down down legit contractors on pricing. You get what you pay for folks.
