They have to spread the word somehow, don't they? I don't think they are saying "stop using social media completely" I think they are just trying to get people to use it in a different way. Stop tweeting what you're currently eating, wearing, and doing, and focus on what is happening right in front of you. Instead of stalking your friends on Facebook, go make real plans with them. Social media can be very positive if people think critically and use it for good.
