The Real Deal, ESL teaching is not for slackers. Use of translation, group repetition, whiteboard outline, individual testing, and energy to achieve 100% effectiveness and truly teach the meaning of four adverbs before focusing on sentences, practice and use.

  • Which word stress are you referring to? Nonetheless, getting students speaking and understanding is the primary goal. Refine things later.

  • I think translation is not the best way to learn ESL. didn't like it

  • He's screaming like a salesmen. There are some really good songs out there to teach adverbs of frequency; such as the black eyed peas verson of 'shut -up shut-up' tune sung using adverbs. He needs to use a smartboard and content rather than personality!

  • Great energy, but I don't agree about the word stress. Teach them authentic stress right from the start; it's harder to 'refine' later when they have already started using the language.

  • Youre are such a good teacher, very inspiring!.
