Dasey: Run

Requested by When0Derek0Met0Casey who wanted me to make a video where Casey and Derek finally kiss, only for Derek to die. She wanted the parents to find out about the relationship right before he died and for Casey to later see him after his death. The request was also for it to be to the song "Run" by Snow Patrol.

Summary to read before watching the video:

Casey and Derek kiss and start a relationship. They have a fight right before their first date, though, because Casey spent her time getting ready and when it is time to leave Derek isn't ready and he's playing with his band. Derek decides that Casey needs to cool off and leaves only to get into a car accident while he is out. Casey is the one who answers the phone for the call and when they tell her, she imagines that it is like any other phone call and Derek is going to come in and annoy her, but he doesn't. It's all in her head. She goes to the hospital and finds the doctors working on him and when George and Nora get there, she imagines Derek by her side and gathers up all of her courage and tells them about her and Derek's relationship.They don't have time to be upset with him in his current condition, however, and simply accept it for the time being. Derek remembers the times that he had with Casey and ends up dying (right after the part that talks about the "long goodbye"). Casey is unable to get over his death and wishes for Derek to be back and shortly after dying, he finds himself back on Earth as if nothing had happened... except no one can see or hear him. He goes to great lengths and finally she notices him. They talk a lot and finally, even with him there, she begins to accept the fact that he is dead. She does realize, however, that it doesn't seem like he's going anywhere and even through acceptance she doesn't think she can handle seeing him everyday because she knows that he is really gone. She goes to the only person that she thinks can help her, Paul, and asks for help, but he is at a loss too. In the end, she confronts Derek about her feelings and he gets mad, but after remembering the good times that he had with Casey and realizing that he did have a good life... he leaves.

Actually since LWD first aired in 2005, I think the time zone is around that time, so it should be 1991-2006 or something, but great video!

They're still fifteen though in 2007 and Derek's about to turn sixteen in just a couple of episodes... so I made it to 2007 so he would be 16. Hmm... not sure if that made any sense or not?
