Hate-speech is a useless term when it comes to First Amendment law. Hate-speech is, in fact, protected free speech. No one has the right to not feel offended.
go fuck yourself bill, im not saying this because of your faith, im not saying this because of your position or title in your organization, im just sayin it because your a douche.
Why don't you just pray & ask 'god' to remove the video instead of the red tape involved in contacting YouTube? Seems like a quicker solution to appeal to someone who is all powerful than some secretary at YouTube. What I really don't understand, Mr. Donohue, is...if these actions are appalling to you & you feel that they are an affront to your Catholic beliefs...wouldn't it be the Christian thing to...forgive them? If not, the whole 'forgive those who trespass against you' talk seems empty.
Eating a communion wafer doesn't fall under hate speech, it falls under the right to protest because its symbolic of the rebellion and a challenge for that particular god to show himself to the public by harming those who would desecrate what is supposed to be the embodiment of Christ in a cracker. Since nothing is being stated that can really be classified as hateful YouTube isn't going to do jack.
This video might be two years old, but I am utterly disgusted by the sincerity in which this troglodyte equates the desecration of a memorial to millions of murdered people to the misuse of a mere piece of bread. Bill Donohue, I dearly hope, though I doubt not that it in vain, that you are ashamed of what you said here. This is hate speech.
But I do have a question in my Catholic upbringing and Catholic schools, also an altar boy I was always taught that the wafer does not become the eucharist until it is consecrated by a ordained Catholic priest whose hands are consecrated during that ceremony. Than the host becames the Eucharist( the body and blood of Christ) during the Mass. The host before that would just be a object with no more value than any other food.
Hey Bill, stop whining about the harm done to your imaginary god or your lame-ass religion. If the eucharist was real you wouldn't be sniveling about people disrespecting it.

What is more shocking is that people actually belive and are offended by the "descration" of a few wafters.
And besides catholics are alway angry - so who cares if catholics are offended- -- they are alway offended by everything

Am I correct on this?
