Grocery Haul! January 24, 2010 - response to Almond Milk

Wooo new grocery haul!

I'm going to attempt 60-75% raw for the next little while because I haven't been eating a lot of fresh fruit/veggies and I'm definitely feeling it. I also drank a ton on Friday, so my liver is crying for help.

- 6 lbs apples (Golden Delicious, Spartan)
- White kidney beans
- Spinach (bagged)
- 2 x avocado
- Red cabbage
- 1 yam/sweet potato
- Broccoli sprouts
- 3x Roma tomato
- 1.54 L Bolthouse Farms 100% Carrot Juice
- 1 bigass piece of Ginger

Total: $24

Some of the recipes I'm inspired to make are from the following books:

Recipes I intend to make from this haul:

- Garlicky White Bean Spread (Skinny Bitch in the Kitch)
- Pumpkin Pie in a Bowl (Natalia Rose, Raw Food Life Force Energy)
- salad
- Cabbage/Avocado wrap/sandwich (Choosingraw.com; NR RFLFE)

NOTE: I am still doing Insanity. I had to take a break on Tues, Wed, and Thurs because of midterms and unchangeable schedules, but I did work out on Friday! I didn't work out on Saturday because of umm... after partying effects, but I will probably work out tonight :)

I'm still doing Insanity! Just finished week 1, and I'm starting week 2, but I had to skip a few days because of my schedule (unavoidable). How's yours going??

With many thanks for all the information about Almond milk! We haven't got this here in Germany, but I'm definitely going to look for a nice alternative.

In America/Canada currently everyone seems to be obsessed with this Detox book and this "raw" thing, so I think I should read it. Unfortunately it's not translated into German yet and my English is too bad for reading non-fiction books I think. Will see))
