  • DBO. When running to first base advanced base runners do peek in to see if the ball got through the infield. It does not slow you down and if you don't and you count on your first base coach to tell you, you will likely get a horrible turn at first base when going for extra bases. That will be what slows you down. If you practice base running with young players, they will learn not to slow down when taking a quick peek in to see if the ball got through so they can take their turn at first.

  • No you don't peek in. You listen to your first base coach and he will tell you run through, make a turn, or go. If you peek in you will run slower.
