啟發課程 - 道士回轉歸神見證 Testimony of Alpha Course - a Taoist priest turned to GOD

I (Mr. LEE Tak Yan) was a Taoist priest; my work was to carry out funeral ceremonies and to connect the dead spirits with the power in hell. I had the demonic power to see things in the hell.

In 2006, by an incident opportunity, my sister invited me to join an Alpha Course in her church. At that time, I had serious financial problems caused by my gambling habits - therefore, going to Alpha and having free meals was not a bad idea for me! Added that I have no close or personal friends so Alpha provided me the opportunity to meet some new friends. I then started to join an Alpha Course.

To everyone's surprise, with my special experience on the 'spiritual' side, I could easily understand the talks about Christianity through Nicky Gumbel's teaching.

My life was totally changed when I went to the Alpha weekend.

There were teachings on Holy Spirit and we had opportunity to receive prayers. There was a moment that the pastor, leading all brothers and sisters to pray for me. They prayed in tongues, holding each others' hands -- which made me a bit scared and so I opened my eyes.

With my eyes opened, I saw a spotlight right at the back of my pastor. I felt so scared that I tried to step away from that and then hide myself at the back of a sister in the group.

My pastor then came to me, embraced me, and my physical body suddenly felt so weak. I then put my head on my pastor's shoulder and started crying. At that time, all I could utter from my lips was "Heavenly Father, I really know that I was wrong. Please forgive me!"

My pastor hugged me even more tightly, and all my bones felt broken! I recognized it was a manifestation of the demons inside me.

My body and spirit continued to struggle hardly during and after the weekend. By God's grace, and also the love, continuous prayers, caring and support from more than 10 Christian friends in my Alpha group -- I finally received deliverance, healing and forgiveness from Jesus. I got a brand new life!

I have quit my old high--paid job as a Taoist priest. God has granted me another new job and I'm now working in a hotel. I am also baptized, having peace and hope in my life. I have joined a few Bible-study groups -- to explore more about the real meaning of life!
