Leigh Bowery's macabre and shocking creations - half human, half monster, half fashion mannequin - has become better known through Boy George's musical. The Disabled Avant-Garde (K. Araniello and A. Williamson) relate to the monstrous element in Bowery's work and dress up in the style of their hero to spend an evening at home watching videos of him and sipping champagne, smoking fags, staying up really late. Part of the formal design of this piece was to incorporate a slobbish attitude and to grunt and hiss whilst watching (and sometimes mimicking) Bowery on the video while the walls of their room explode with spinning patterns.

  • MY BRAAIANNNNn

  • If I may dare venture an interpretation... "In the Mood" was THE song of the World War II years, so it would be a sentimental favorite of people who were young then and now old. The handcuffs that appeared in the background was a reference to marriage. So, here we a gaga, decrepit, married couple enjoying themselves to Glenn Miller, the way many or our parents enjoyed Lawrence Welk. I don't think he just poking fun at old people, but the establishment, esp. his parents, and his critics.

  • i have athletes foot.

  • this is very significant, if im being honest. It should be introduced into as many people's lives as possible.
