Origional LP of Canned Heat's Going up Country played on a recently fixed 1959 juke box. It skips a couple of times but otherwise plays well.

"Going up Country" was adapted from the song "Bulldoze Blues" (Recorded 1928) by Henry Thomas who was an Early country blues/folk singer.

  • Hey, instead of putting a coin on the tonearm, you can adjust the leaf spring underneath it. Simply bend it. If it's hanging up on all records, then the back end needs to be adjusted with an allen wrench. Lift tonearm to see the allen nut on the base. Turn a half turn down (clockwise) until tonearm moves freely back and forth.

Ruining you needle and records with all that weight isn't the answer.

Also, check for a bent or worn needle.

  • I gathered my friends together around my record player and we smoked weed too this song,.

  • @mechanicalmusic OR you can just put a coin in the tonearm

  • @MrPisster my bad, my regret.

  • @retroolschool what drugs are you on? Woodstock was in 1969, the title says 1959. I just now saw that some one else commented that the JUKE was made in '59, not the recording and the song came out in '68...so I was right!

Where does dyslexia come in?? What was the point were you trying to make Retroolfool? Do you even know what Dyslexia is?

  • @MrPisster You may be dyslectic, read the title...

  • Sounds nicer when it is faster

  • Sounds a bit fast.

  • @MrPisster the juke box was made then , don't mean the album was cut then , your most likely correct on the woodstock era release on canned heat album though

  • That was cut in 1959?? I always thought that it was like, Woodstock era.
