the floor was obviously made of polystyrene and the ACID was nail polish remover. At least that's what I heard, and it DOES look like the real thing...

  • It would be so cool if we were to make a contest, for whoever does the best recreation of the effect, complete with floor texture, lighting, smoke, even maybe creature effects.

  • "That crap is gonna eat through the hull" lol. I actually did this for my friends they thought it was awsome

  • Thanks :D

  • You can do it with spray paint as well.

  • lol, after seeing that eat through Styrofoam I'd be afraid to get it on my skin :P

  • i thought the same thing when i saw this part on the movie

  • acrylic weld does the same thing.

  • THEY GOT ACID FOR BLOOD !

  • we did this experiment at school. Basically, polystyrene as we use it has a lot of air, like 90% of it is trapped air. Using acetona or nail polish remover just releases the air and leaves you with the polymer.

  • cool!

  • its only nail polish remover....

  • wow thats actually kinda kool!

  • that web-like stuff afterward looks so awesome...
