Watch how easy it it to load performance software onto your BMW's or MINI's computer! Bavarian Otto shows you how. in about 20 minutes, you can enjoy a higher rev limit, better throttle response and no speed limiter. Power Programmers are available in our online store at http://www.bavauto.com/

  • Another great video. In addition for the links to the site and blog...you should post links to the specific pages on bavauto.com that have the product you're using or showing. :)

  • @sabri2198 -

Agreed! We're working on learning the best way to do this. Thanks for your note.

  • Nastrusnicu -

The programmers are only for North American models. See the link for Dyno figures for the 328i & 528i:

We have the dyno charts available at bavauto dot com. Just go to your application and click "more info" The M52 2.8 liter gives about 5-lbft at the peak and 10lbft at the maximum gain. HP is about 5 at peak and 15 at max gain.

  • Do you guys have the performance software for an e36 M3? Is it the same process to install? About how much power should it give me? Will it change the torque curve? How so? Does it change the fuel economy? Do you need the battery charger only because you won't have enough power to start after the install or is it necessary for the new data to download? Could you just jump the car instead of using the battery charger?

  • @uglyguitarman

We can provide a programmer for the 96-99 E36 M3 models (and Z3 M models). Max HP gain is about 30HP (at 4500 RPM), Max Torque gain is about 40 ftlbs (at 4000 RPM). We have a full dyno chart, but cannot attach the link here.

Fuel economy will be the same or even slightly better. Of course, if you are driving in a performance manner, all bets are off. The battery charger is required in order to keep the voltage from fluctuating during the programming process.

In addition to our initial reply (which had to be shortened due to the maximum characters available):

We do not recommend using jumper cables from another vehicle. The voltage and amperage through the vehicle system must be constant and regulated while installing the programmer. Voltage variations from the jumping vehicle could corrupt the programming process.

  • You forgot to put the fuses back in!!

  • I understand that this is standard upgrade. How much power and torque can get a 528ia 1997 m52b28 ? It`s only for North American bmw's? how about European bmw's?

  • how much does it gain in a R56 mini cooper

  • Can you post up a video showing the power programmer on perhaps a 2000-2005 E46 model? In curious about the rectangular power programmer that plugs in under the steering wheel

  • @BavarianAuto Interesting. Maybe I'll get one some day.
