Angioplasty: What is It ?

In this video we describe angioplasty, the interventional cardiac procedure to clear blocked arteries. A recent three-year report from the New York State Department of Health shows that North Shore University Hospital (NSUH) performed the most emergency angioplasty cases in the state, with outcomes significantly better than the statewide average.

NSUH was the only hospital in the state that had a significantly better success rate in emergency cases. Lawrence Ong, MD, ranked among the top three interventional cardiologists in the state.
