Great lesson!

First off , will you give up that idea that i said we live in a matrix ? Second where did i mention quantum theory!
-
*sigh*
Science doesn't *prove* anything. If you knew anything about science you'd understand this. Quantum theory has nothing to do with us "living in a Matrix".
Where do you nut cases come from, anyway?
-
Well are you the kind a materialist who still believes that matter is as solid as it appears even if science has proven its NOT so ? The matter itself is just another frequency , a pure energy. And the "brain in the jar" was completely your idea , not mine.
-
You just don't get it, do you?
There is no reason believe that the world is not exactly how we percieve it to be.
Your argument is simply ludicrous because you have no evidence that we live in some kind of matrix.
-
Question is actually HOW do you exist ? The fact you experience this reality doesnt mean you are made from matter and your whole soul is just brain. All you know for sure is that you experience it all.
-
Where do you matrix nuts come from??
I think, therefore I am. So I know I exist.
But there is no reason to believe that the world I live in is a fabrication.
There is no reason to believe that I am a brain in a jar.
There is no reason to believe that the universe was created 5 minutes ago complete with all our memories.
And there's no reason to believe that Jesus is gunna save me from the matrix.
Just because certain possibilities exist, does not mean all possibilities deserve merit.
-
Then prove that we are "real" ? Well you know that matter is just pure energy , dont you ? And all we feel , hear , smell , taste and see are just frequencies , nothing exists in a solid form as we see it.Its just an illusion that table is really a table and so on , no its not , its just signal , its 99.9999999999% empty space , if not 100%
Doesn't the time example prove too much? It was said that a three-dimensional being cannot define (i.e., know) a fourth dimension (time). Doesn't that mean that a three-dimensional being cannot know a supernatural being (God)? The argument doesn't necessarily lead to the conclusion that God exists, only that we of natural perception cannot perceive a SUPERnatural entity. Thus the argument proves agnosticism, rather than the speaker's desired outcome.

That is what makes the Christian faith so unique and exciting. Christians believe that the transcendent and supernatural God has entered our world. He has taken on the form of a man and lived and taught and showed us what God is like and what he wants of us. Then he paid the sacrifice for our sins in his own death and then conquered death in the resurrection. We understand God through the God-man Jesus Christ.

So then what does the Bible mean when it says men were made in God's image? How did Jacob wrestle with God if God was not physical?

We are not made in the physical image of God, otherwise we would all look alike. We have the spiritual aspect of God, which other animals do not possess. If you don't believe in the spiritual aspect of man, I can see how you cannot understand what I am saying. Genesis 32 says it was a man who wrestled with Jacob. Jacob said afterward he had seen God face to face. God has appeared at times in the form of a man -- see Genesis 18, Daniel 3 and of course John 1.

"We are not made in the physical image of God, otherwise we would all look alike. We have the spiritual aspect of God"
Good story, too bad the Bible doesn't say that. It must be really convenient to be able to turn the Bible into metaphor whenever you want to. Other Christians disagree with you entirely and state that in the 2nd coming we will all get perfect bodies of flesh, bones, and blood - just like God's. Who is one to believe when even Christians disagree with themselves?

The fact that we were not created in the physical image of God is obvious from what the Bible tells us that God is "not flesh and blood" (Matthew 16:17) and that he is a "spirit" (John 4:24). This does not disagree with the concept of the resurrection when Christ returns. However, the Bible says "the natural body" will be "raised a spiritual body" (I Corinthians 15:44). I don't know where you get the idea that Christians believe we will have "bodies of flesh, bones, and blood --just like God's."
