Formed in 1978, By Brothers Jon and Criss Oliva, Savatage was an American Power/Progressive Metal Band remembered for their classic metal records "Hall Of The Mountain King", "Gutter Ballet" and their widely successful side group Trans-Siberian Orchestra which as of 2001 has been their main focus. Sadly, Their co-founding member and guitarist, Criss Oliva died in 1993 in a car accident, thus by many fans ended the groups "golden era".

The main solo is so charged emotionally and Criss played it like that on every version I've ever heard. The notes and the timing of each ones release just kicks total fucking ass! A masterpiece!

Criss Olivia was absolutely phenomenal and I'm so lucky to have seen him when Savatage opened for Dio. What a tour!
