This clip from CBS 60-Minutes program is noteworthy for its poor understanding of US role in introduction of Islamic "Jihadi" concept in Pakistan as well as the complicity of the Pakistani Establishment in using the "Jihadi" network to wage a proxy war with India in Kashmir. The Taliban insurgency in Pakistan represents a powerful backlash by the Jihadi network against the Pak State on account of its reversal of pro-Taliban and pro-Jihad policies under US pressure after 9/11.

JUST TO MAKE IT CLEAR. The Army of Pakistan thats fighting Taliban in Pakistan are not train at all or only train for short amount of time. Pakistan will never use their well train Army to fight the Taliban in Pakistan. Do You know why??? because the Taliban in Pakistan is also train by Pakistan. ISI is playing this little game in Pakistan that there's Taliban in pakistan but the truth is the Talibans are there own people each Talib get paid $7 a day Just for being a Talib.

I am surprised the US is so patient. If it were a EU country there would've been more bloodshed.Remove this distrust between the US and Pakistan. Pak Govt. has to convince people that the Taliban are a threat to national security. The people in Swat are helpless. US is losing patience in lost in translation.When the enemy is not in military uniform but in civilian uniform there will be casualties. I don't side with the US but I can see their problems. NO more a proxy war

What ever Taliban do in North west Frontier province and Afghanistan ,the Punjabi Taliban knowingly or unknowingly will always ensure its supremacy over baluch taliban,paktun taliban,sind taliban and afghan taliban For Punjabi Taliban as well as Punjabi pak military the baluch ,paktuns,sind&Afghans are lowly bread street dogs and for last 63 years the punjabi military has dominated them .Punjabi Military dominance of Bangladesh misfired as those guys became wise quite early ,now let wait & see
