Ron Paul wants to abolish the Federal Reserve because it is unconstitutional. The Constitution states, in no uncertain terms, that the responsibility of managing the currency falls to the Congress, not to some secret central bank. No where in the Constitution is Congress granted the authority to shirk this responsibility.
