Well Qat isn't so bad depending on how it is used. I wonder what other ways it can be used as well. But for the ugly comments by these Anglo's that should be stoped. Britian has raped the world over and some.

An interesting thing is that the difference with somalis and yemenis with the qat issue is that in yemeni society it seems that everyone thinks it ok and only a very small minority is completly against it,even the reporter says it shouldnt be an issue in moderation.Whereas with somalis there is a great divide on opinion and it is chewers against everyone else,and they are looked upon negatively most times.it seems it isnt as entrenched in somali culture as i thought.

They should give that money in charity,and if the millions in these countries spent their khat allowances on developing their countries then we would see great change.Its no wonder these places are poor.

QAT isnt bad its Horrible,its an addictive drug which has become so popular because those who chew are in denial about its dangers.What do they know theyre are on a high and when they arent they are looking for their next 'shot'.I wonder if the salah is as much on their mind.

This drug is haram first and foremost and the arguement should end there.

qat is probably no worse than pot or cocaine. the trouble starts when psychopaths, wanting a quick buck, start refining the active ingredients of ANY drug-producing plant in to highly concentrated form. THIS is when problems start. in south america, the leaves of the plant from which cocaine is made are CHEWED by the natives, and produce a mild buzz. it's like when one drinks a lot of coffee. no worse than that.

loooool Qat is cooool i cant say it is drug , and m not saying it's gud or bad 4 health m only sure it is just wast of time sitting hours chewing , but it is people's culture and the world shud respect that Yemanian Somlian Jabitian and Ethiopian all those people chew .....in US they say Qat is not legal but homosexual and lesbianty is legal and we r not against it cuz it people's culture so the western people have understand other cultures and respect it .....peace

i,m FROM SOMALIA and they used to bring the qat from ethiopia at the middlle of the day, specials that carries qad start beebing their horn from corner oft the city and almost haft of the people are running to it like lion is chasing them
