I remember cracking up at this sketch when I saw it on TV. First time I've seen it since, and it still has me in stitches. Classic Spike brilliant madness.

I wonder if Spike was making fun of the "Black and White minstral" show? They insisted all through the 70's that blacking up was OK as they were singing minstrals despite the fact that they actually didnt sing any authentic minstral songs on their show apart from an occassional Al Jolson song. Strange.
