Natjoh87 your right, i listen to Christian rap. yes, i listen to it because of the message, but when i try to get my friends to listen to it they only like the beat. i try to tell them that the point of it is not for the beat, its is for the message.

The word of God is good enough to keep the youth interested. Preach the truth to the youth and God will draw them that way. Again, I don't hate anyone nor am I preaching a hate message. As I said before,I'm not judging this guy in any form or matter because as christians we are ever-learning and ever-growing. I pray he'll continue to grow into the "new creature" he should be. I am not preaching hate to anyone. I am not discouraging the youth. I am not trying to forcefully change anyone and I know according to Romans 14, God says not to argue with those new in the faith...I or You don't know if this guy is new to the faith or not. Yes, it is good that they are acknowledging God. I'm just saying somebody has to stand up and say something or the devil will continue to use all types of tactics to creep into the church. I'm not trying to bash, belittle or preach hate.

OK well yes I understand where your coming from and I also dont agree with hip hop in the church but remeber we are not all on the same level spiritually especially those who are new in christ. Slowly but sure God is making us into a new creature bit by bit. So maybe a lot havent totally surrendered but if they are truly changed on the inside you betta believe they are going to start putting away the things of the world. It just takes time but ATLEAST they are acknowledging God.

..they "leave as they are". When you are in church and you are in a sinful state, you should feel uncomfortable because the holy spirit convicts you of anything that shouldn't be in your life. The Holy Spirit does not operate in holy hip hop because it will not tell you go get a secular song and PUT JESUS ON TOP OF IT. Also, I used to be a supporter of holy hip-hop(before I got saved)..and I remember how I was only interested in this genre of music because of the beats(also people around me was interested in it for the same reason) Sure, this genre of music will keep the youth occupied, but we want our youth, saved, sanctified and fille with the holy ghost. When young people attend these concerts or listen to this genre of music, no true deliverance is taking place. They "Come as they are" but...
