Repatriations have now moved from RAF Lyneham to RAF Brize Norton. In a ceremony was led by the Bishop of Oxford, the Rt Rev John Pritchard. The Mayor of Wootton Bassett, Councillor Paul Heaphy, handed the union flag over to the chairman of Brize Norton Parish Council, Councillor Keith Glazier, and the deputy mayor of Carterton, Councillor Adrian Coomber. The flag was then raised in the memorial garden. Local MP for Witney and Prime Minister David Cameron led tributes to our armed forces. Future corteges will now leave from RAF Brize Norton. We spoke to Adrian Coomber, deputy mayor of Carterton and Steve Radband from the Royal British Legion after the ceremony.
