@GaryVonGary Because they are selfish and like the feeling of power. Nom nom nom.

I'm more interested in looking at the audience at whom he is speaking rather than him...
Is it a bare room...? Why? Do they leave when he talks.
Is the room full of politicians ignoring him while he speaks? Why is it he can deliver such clear, coherent and profound speeches and yet not none if his colleagues there seem to follow suit with what he says?
I'm really wondering who are the faces listening to this yet do nothing carrying on with the status quo.

If only people who had power actually cared. Ron Paul has been trying to get the same message out for years and nobody in power seems to care. WHY?
-
That's because people are morons and are only perpetuating the problems we've started with the housing/credit bubble because they've been conditioned this way. We will spend ourselves into obscurity..
-
Yes, I know people still need to buy groceries but do they need to buy clothes every God Damn day. How about houses they are still buying and borrowing.
-
He is not president because we are too busy buying shit that we don't need.

RON PAUL = Tiberius Gracchus

well people still need groceries and clothing.. that isn't going to change.

Still, something must be done to address the outrageous income inequalities and stratification of wealth in this nation.

People are not broke, people still have a lot of money. Just look at the shopping malls and grocery stores they're packed with shoppers. I don't know what the hell they're buying but they're buying.
For any Ron Paul supporters who want to chime in, how would you feel if government spending was directerd towards things like research programs, space exploration, or other scientific/technological pursuits? I'm a HUGE proponent of techno-progressivism as I think technology can solve, or at least help, a lot of issues.
However I'm always open to the other side of the argument so I'd like to hear some libertarian/small-government takes on gov. spending towards highly-experimental tech.

Not the Government's job, not with my tax dollars or yours. Let everyone keep the fruits of their labor, stop government subsidization (which creates an uneven playing field) and let individuals invest in companies who provide the goods, services, and technology they want. For every dollar that YOU give to the bureaucracy only a small percentage will go where you want, if at all. Can they better direct your money or you?
